Kauri House Lodge
Kauri House Lodge is set on a hill amongst three hectares of garden and native trees which host an abundance of native bird life. A unique, stately home, Kauri House Lodge was built in 1910 for a millionaire and his nine children. Only the best materials were used and the house represents an excellent example of craftsmanship.
We offer three spacious bedrooms all with ensuite bathrooms. Two rooms have King Size beds and one has twin singles. A hearty English Breakfast is supplied in the morning.

Matakohe House
This beautiful house is both accommodation and restaurant/cafe. All the rooms have ensuites and one is wheel chair friendly. The rooms open on to large verandahs and have harbour and rural vistas. It is a great base from which to explore the local area including the Kauri Museum, which is an easy walk up the road. The food is tasty, and there is an extensive menu for family style cuisine to enjoy for lunch or dinner, either in the dining room or on the verandah. This is a licensed premises.
