Dargaville Youth Charitable Trust
The main objective is to support children from disadvantaged backgrounds aged 5 to 16 years, by giving them the opportunity to attend activities which assist their development; to promote their well-being and that of their family/whanau. They are disadvantaged due to family and historical circumstances and derived mainly from the inability to participate, because finance is a major hurdle or family motivation is not as it should be. There is a greater likelihood of children in these circumstances to be at greater risk of social alienation and offending.
