Community Organisations
Like any small town in New Zealand, the beating heart of our community is made up of volunteers from a number of important groups.
These are the fund raisers for charities, the organizers of social events, the artists and the entertainers, those who will roll up their sleeves for the working bee or dress up for the kids' pantomime at Christmas. They're also the ones who preserve our local history, who provide companionship and help, who race to the rescue in times of need and make up the backbone of our emergency services. The same people who are the coaches, players and Saturday morning heroes on our sports fields.
The Dargaville Community Development Board focuses on business support for all sectors and revitalisation projects on behalf of the community that promote economic growth and development.
