Northtec

NorthTec is the only Northland-based Tertiary Education Institute (TEI) that provides programmes ranging from foundation, certificate, diploma and degree levels. Working closely with local and national industries, NorthTec provides practical, quality training that meets Northland’s needs.

Regent Training Centre

With an emphasis on supported learning through practice and patience, Regent Training Centre is registered Private Training Establishment (PTE) that is fully accredited and approved by the New Zealand Qualifications Authority (NZQA) to deliver various National Certificates, National Certificates in Educational Achievement (NCEA) and Youth Guarantee Vocational Pathways. Gaining government funding through the Tertiary Education Commission (TEC) so that programmes can be delivered with zero fees to students.

Te Roroa Learning Assistance Charitable Trust

Te Roroa Learning Assistance works collaboratively to provide quality educational services that are relevant, accessible, and innovative, creating training which transforms lives and builds communities. With a focus on attracting more adults to access to educational services and improving how resources are best deployed to ensure all learners achieve success, the Trust is increasing awareness of the importance of education for individual, social and economic well-being.

Te Taitokerau Trades Academy

Dargaville High School offers Carpentry through BCATS units and ventures out into the community to give the students access to practical experience. This course also offers Health and Safety units through Northtec, First Aid training and the ramset course.

2014 saw the introduction of Hospitality at Dargaville High School.  Partnered with NorthTec, the new facilities enrich experiences for learners and lead them towards a good vocational grounding in Hospitality.
